If I must pass this limit of existence into another limit more profound.
If I must die.
If I must indeed pass from this life let me not pass
Having never hugged a leper.
or a victim of aids.
or a filthy, smelly, lice tortured homeless person.
If I must die.
If I must indeed be torn from this love of self-indulgence and narcissism let me not be torn
Until I have kissed a homosexual in a non-sexual manner.
Until I have helped a blind man pee.
Until I have changed the bandage on person dying from abuse or neglect
Until I have held a person as she died and comforted her till she rested.
If I must die.
If it is certain I must one day exit this veil of wonders
Let me love someone not worthy of love.
Let me care for someone not able to be cared for
Let me give to someone not worth to receive.
Let me give life to someone who deserves death.
Let me not die. But if I must die. Let me die while loving.
